Book One - Dust Off Party
The Guru is discovered to not know anything, and people help him out by sharing their dreams and thoughts

Picture
Martin from Neverland said:
Stop bossing me around. Why don’t you go and make the curry.

And Ilea from Vancouver said:
Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

And Malakai from Alberta said:
You are the infinite divine sacred holy love seeking the infinite divine sacred holy truth.

And Kyra from Kamloops said:
Bring a hammock to Burning Man, it will save your life.

Said Mark from White Rock:
It was an epiphany I had in my late twenties. I was travelling in Greece, the island that has two names, Santorini and ? One morning I woke up. At the time I was travelling with two new friends, a Canadian and an Australian. They wanted to see the ruins but I realized I had little interest in the ruins and more interest in spending time with my friends. Deducing from that I came to the realization that human contact is paramount, profound and invaluable, and pales in comparison to worldly material things.

And Khosro from Iran said:
Laugh it away.

And Tanya from Downtown said:
What I learnt at Burning Man this year is how to play again. So my advice is never forget how to play (creating the feeling of constant weird shit).

And Jester from Seattle said:
Don’t go in with expectations, be free and see where the day takes you. Be free, have new experiences. Never try to recreate a day. Every day is different. You don’t have to do anything. It’s an amazing place.

And Kira from The Love Place said:
Always remember that love is the most important thing and if you live through love then you will never be upset.

And Yannick from Quebec said:
There’s a lot more than meets the eye, if you know what I mean by that. It’s not physical, it’s more than that.

And Greg from West End said:
I know for sure that getting into a relationship with a good friend can evolve into something else. Trust in close friendships, they can evolve into more.

And Quinton from Here said:
That which cannot be found within,
Shall never be found without;
Up is high, down is low, middle is in between, .
But water is still wet till it isn’t.

And He also said:
As I was walking up the stairs,
I met a man who wasn’t there;
He wasn’t there again today,
I wish that he would go away.

And Jenn from The Ocean said:
It is wise as a guru to listen to other people, rather than think that you know everything. Ultimately people will reveal everything if you just let them talk.

And Alison from Venus (Aphrodite’s daughter) said:
I think that I have learnt that giving ourselves orgasmic pleasure is the greatest gift that we can offer.

Amanda from Right Here, she said:
I you really want to speak to other people’s soul, you need to look deep down inside yourself. The further down you go, the closer you will come to the essence.

And Carnie from A Little Bit of Everywhere said:
People always tell you that you’re not supposed to have a negative reaction to something – I think that’s bullshit. We have our emotions for a reason, that’s how our body is for a reason. It’s about light and dark. It’s ok to feel that way, as long as it doesn’t consume you. Sometimes the universe has something in store for you, and you’ve got to get through it. Feel however you need to feel about something. You may need to embrace it.

And Alison from Here said:
You should give people hair advice.

And Frankie Panky from Right Here Right Now said:
I could have done a better job of embracing this today, but my day got infinitely better the moment I did. Don’t sweat the minutiae.

And Rich from Vancouver said:
I have no idea. Pretend something every day. Just fucking listen!

And Akina from The Moon said:
When I let go of who I am, I might become what I might be. It’s very profound. Who I think I am.

And Salli from New York City said:
Be open. Try to be as open as much as you possibly can even though life kicks you down. People don’t talk about you as much as you think they do. So in reality don’t fucking worry about it.

And Kara from A Sad Place Going To A Very Beautiful One said:
The Spirit resides in every living thing, organism, piece of this earth, and once we learn to communicate with all those spirits and understand what they’re saying, that’s when there will be peace.

Said Lyyn of the Playa:
Guru – G-U-R-U and also Gee-You-Are-You!

And Cham from Sri Lanka said:
Just go with the flow – the way, man. Every day’s a new day. Cos you never know, hey, if it’s your last day so just enjoy.

And Lori from Here said:
It’s finding your personal light. It’s knowing your personal light. Through all the craziness that’s happened, it’s knowing that you’re still there.

And Luis from Mexico, Germany, Canada and the World said:
I’ve had fifty years to figure things out. One thing - it’s the most important lesson I’ve ever learnt - is that life gets better the older you get. Now I’m older, I’ve used that energy to build a wonderful circle of people and things all around me. When you reach a point that you don’t care what other people think about you, you are truly free to paint a beautiful picture. And your heart is your paintbrush.

And Trouble from Community said:
Be open. That’s it.

And Joel from Who Knows Where said:
Forget everything you know.

And Anne from The Sea said:
Everything is going to be alright. Everything is ok. That’s really about it.

And Jacqui from Right Here said:
I’ve learnt that I’ve learnt nothing of value in my life. I have the power to choose my experience. If there’s a way that I’m being that I don’t’ want to be, then I can change that, and be what I want to be.

And Lummox from The Interior said:
Do what you want, and not what people say. And that’s just it.

And Matthew from Vancouver said:
True growth is seeking out and overcoming adversity.

And Martin from the Islands said:
Insanity is hereditary; you get it from your kids. Someone else said that.

And Dagmara from My Mother said:
I am a spectrum, others are also a spectrum.

And Aaron from Uganda said:
Fear can be a tool and your friend. It’s an ongoing lesson I’m always embracing.

And Leona of the Earth said:
Push the edge. Always go out kissing. There’s a whole thing of life. Totally live from the heart. Be as genuine as possible. Good good you did it.

And Sweetness from Burning Man said:
Worship the goddess or a mantra. You need a mantra. A powerful one.

And Benjamin from Everywhere said:
Entropy is the desire of things to move from order to disorder. Time can move backwards or forwards. Life is anti-entropy. Life is a force that wants to create persistent patterns. The ultimate anti-entropy was before the Big Bang. The entire universe has two flows. We’re in a moment of anti-entropy moving towards entropy, but with some sploshes.

THERE ENDS BOOK ONE.
